Nicole has spent nearly four decades facilitating education for learners of all ages in nature, from deep wilderness to urban parks. She is Director of Washington Nature Preschool Association (WaNPA); she is a Cedarsong Way Certified Trainer and a Washington State-Approved STARS Trainer. Nicole has consulted for schools and programs across the country to ensure that nature-based learning becomes an integral part of all education experiences. In addition to mentoring, consulting, and educator training, she has been a lead teacher at two forest schools, and she established her own program (Nature Time!) for early learners and school age students. Nicole believes it is essential that all children, preschool through high school (and the grownups who guide them), have safe and equitable access to meaningful learning in, about, and - most importantly - with nature. And in case it wasn't already obvious, being outside is her happiest place.
