Maria (she/her) is so excited to be joining the Field & Forest team. She has worked in early childhood education for over seven years and is currently in school getting her bachelor's in Children's Studies with a focus on Community Programming. Throughout her career, she has taught English in Spain (where she is originally from), worked as a preschool teacher in a Reggio Emilia school, and taught art classes at a process-art studio that focused on the making & creating rather than the final result. She is most happy when facilitating child-led activities and witnessing the magic happen! When not teaching she spends her days gardening, traveling to national parks, and hanging out with her cat, Captain Hook.
