Geena teaches in the Quail classroom in the Attic and loves joining Field & Forest when she has time. Before joining The Attic community, Geena spent four years teaching in a mixed age Montessori preschool classroom. She graduated from Washington State University in 2015 where she double majored in Psychology and Anthropology and is also a certified Montessori Primary Teacher. Geena has always been a lover of the outdoors. Growing up in the PNW, she spent her own childhood playing in forests, exploring our rocky beaches, and learning the value of the natural world. She believes children thrive when their learning is self driven through natural exploration with gentle guidance from teachers. Her favorite thing about teaching is watching the "aha!" moment that a child has when they have made a new discovery or connection.
